Keeping your child healthy
The nursery promotes self-respect and independence in the children and
encourages high standards of personal hygiene through daily routines.
The nursery has its own kitchen where fresh meals are prepared daily
using fresh and organic ingredients wherever possible. The menus are
varied and reflect a variety of cultural traditions, also with vegetarian
options. The nursery will also meet any special dietary needs
wherever possible. Menus are displayed weekly.
The staff are trained and experienced in dealing with minor illnesses
and accidents. However, please keep your child at home if they have
temperature or a serious infectious illness. The nursery will contact
you (or your named emergency contact number) if your child becomes ill
during the day and ask you to take them home.
Nursery staff can only
give medicines prescribed by a doctor or prescribing chemist, on
condition that you have signed a consent form with details of the
medicine, dosage, time and duration and it is imperative that these
medicines MUST have the child's name on the bottle or package. However,
if any of the medicines are out of date they will not be administered.
