SRC Community Nursery has 40 years of experience in providing high standards of education and care to children aged 6 months to 5 years. We support children to have fun, make friends and learn in a safe and welcoming environment.

SRC is a community, non-profit nursery.  Any surplus is re-invested to help us achieve our purpose, creating affordable high quality childcare and education. We are run by a team of professional staff and a voluntary management committee.

We were rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2019.

The nursery was set up in Sumner Road Chapel in Peckham in 1983. Originally intended to be a short-term project, it quickly became clear that it was providing much needed good quality childcare and within a year it was oversubscribed. The move to its present dedicated site in Gaza Street came in 1991 and since then it has continued to thrive.
